Jotun: Valhalla Edition features Valhalla Mode, a boss rush mode with even fiercer versions of the already challenging jotun. In Jotun, you play Thora, a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death and must prove herself to the Gods to enter Valhalla. Jotun is a 2D action-exploration game set in Norse mythology. Jotun is a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse mythology. It will sold at $14.99 and should you need to know more about it, we have both a trailer and an overview on the title below: Jotun: Valhalla Edition will release on April 27, and will be pre-purchasable for April 13 in North America & South America, April 18 in Europe and April 19 in Japan. Thunder Lotus Games : No on all three counts, sorry to say! Will the Switch release feature Video Capture, HD Rumble and touch-screen support?: Forgive us, but this is the first Thunder Lotus game to go portable, so we still see portability as a little magical. Of course, Switch players are the only ones that can take the game on the road and, for example, beat Valhalla Mode without using God Powers *while commuting to work*. Thunder Lotus Games : In-game features are at par with the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Also, since we play a lot with scale in Jotun, with Thora being dwarfed by titanic bosses, we had to rework some of the gameplay to allow for play on a potentially much smaller screen. Happily, the Switch has the horsepower to showcase Jotun in all its hand-drawn glory, even in handheld mode. For similar reasons, we weren’t able to support Off-TV Play on that system. Thunder Lotus Games : Without getting too technical, we did have to make a few compromises – graphically especially – to get Jotun running smoothly on Wii U. Also, while we’re very happy to have seen so many of our peers find success on the Switch, we wanted to take the time and make sure we were bringing the best possible version of Jotun to the system. Oh, that and working around the clock on supporting Sundered and creating Sundered DLC, while getting the ground work done our super secret third project™ (shhh!). Thunder Lotus Games : We were all busy 100%ing Breath of the Wild. Plus Jotun did well for us on Wii U, so with the Switch it was more a question of when rather than why. We’re all huge fans of the system over here too. Gamers have taken to the Switch with a passion that is just so infectious. Thunder Lotus Games : (Insert image of Scrooge McDuck here) Just kidding. What prompted the decision to bring it to Switch?: So in addition to Thunder Lotus Games being able to secure a difficulty with no difficulty at all, here’s what we could get out of them: Thanks to being notified in advance, not only is Jotunis coming to the Nintendo Switch, but before the embargo even lifted on the announcement, we had plenty of time to ask a couple of questions regarding the Switch release, which we could then post to coincide with the reveal.
